Step 1: If you’re in Chesterfield, Mechanicsville, Henrico, Fredericksburg, or the City of Richmond, proceed to Step 2. If you’re anywhere else, ask us if we deliver to your neighborhood. We’re also glad to answer any other questions you may have.
Step 2: Sign up online — pick your box, enter your credit card information, and pay your $50 annual membership fee.
Boxes contents vary from week to week depending on the farmers’ quantities, but we aim to include enough to make at least a side dish or serving of each fruit/veggie for a family of four. If it’s too much for you, just order every other week. All boxes include a generous supply of basics like carrots, cucumbers, celery, green peppers, and tomatoes, plus:
The Chef Box mixes in a variety of classic sides, such as squash, cauliflower, spinach, green beans, sweet potatoes, kale, and more, for $27.25/week plus tax.
The box you pick when you register is your default box, but you can change it each week. During the season, you’ll receive an email every Friday with a list of what will be in each type of box. You have until midnight on Sunday night to change your box or skip the week. If you do nothing, you’ll receive your default box.
Step 3: We do weekly billing.
Each week, your credit card will be charged $27.25 plus tax. You can always skip weeks, and you will never be charged if you don’t place an order.
Step 4: During the season, your box will be delivered every Thursday, unless it’s a holiday.
Your produce is harvested on local farms at the peak of ripeness, gathering as many nutrients as possible from the environment before it’s delivered directly to you — unlike grocery store produce that’s weeks old when it finally arrives on store shelves.
Step 5: On the next delivery morning, place any small cartons inside your empty box and place the box in the delivery location. When we make your delivery, we’ll pick it up and use it all over again. We reuse and recycle!
